Hello,

I’m Ryan.

I’m a dad, an award-winning creative director, a writer, and traveler.

Currently, I’m a Senior Vice President, Group Creative Director at Innocean, which is a lot of words to say I lead the remarkably talented creative team on Hyundai.

Before that, I was a copywriter and creative director at places like TBWA/Chiat/Day, DDB, Deutsch, Wongdoody, RTOP, or lending a freelance hand at more places than I can remember.

Way before that, I was a kid from Pennsylvania (Bethlehem, by way of Scranton, followed by Philly and all while being a Steelers fan,) who dreamt of a career writing things that made people laugh the way Dave Barry, Steven Wright, or MST3K made me laugh.

So I headed into advertising, after a few years of journalism, radio DJing, record promotions, and film publicity, always trying to write or create things that made people smile.

Along the way, I picked up a bunch of other skills like mentoring creatives, earning a client’s trust, making dry presentations entertaining, obsessing over tiny details, and pushing the work until it is undeniable.

My work has been featured on the Super Bowl, won Effies, Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show Pencils and numerous other reputable blocks of lucite while still occasionally being trolled in the comments section.

When I’m not working on the work stuff, I’m working on making my kids laugh, taking a ludicrously long road trip, rummaging the record bins or hiking the forests found seemingly everywhere but Los Angeles.
